What Redy is, and who is in it
Redy is a marketplace for trade work. A customer describes a job and books a window; a provider accepts it, turns up and records what was done.
Both sides hold accounts, so most of what Redy holds about a person was entered by that person. The exception is a booking, which necessarily records one party's address and details in the other party's view of the job.
What we collect
Account: whether you are a customer or a provider, your name, your email address, your phone number, and either a hashed password or a Google account identifier.
Addresses you save, including a label, the address line, and its coordinates.
If you are a provider: your trades, a biography, a licence number, your working area and its coordinates, your callout price, your radius, your working hours, your time zone, your response time, the last four digits of your bank account, and the status of the identity, licence and insurance documents you upload.
Bookings and their events, your work log, review stars and text, and the photographs recorded against a job, which can be before, after, part, receipt or progress shots.
Estimates generated from a photograph, with the resulting price range and line items, and a record of each AI call made, including its model and cost.
The photo estimate goes to OpenAI
When you ask Redy for an estimate from a photograph, that photograph is sent to OpenAI and processed by their model. It is not processed on your device and it does not go to a Deplyra service instead.
This matters because those photographs are usually the inside of somebody's home: a leaking boiler under a stair, a bathroom mid-repair, a kitchen. If you would not send that picture to a third-party company, do not use the photo estimate. The rest of Redy works without it.
Photographs keep the metadata your camera wrote
Redy does not remove EXIF data from a photograph at any point. A picture chosen from your gallery can carry the coordinates your camera recorded, and those travel with it into our storage and, for an estimate, to OpenAI.
Location, and what Redy does not do
Redy does not read your device location. There is no location permission and no location plugin in the app. The coordinates it holds come from addresses that were typed in.
When a map is drawn, the map tiles are fetched from OpenStreetMap, which necessarily sees your IP address.
When a provider taps for directions, the customer's address is handed to Google Maps, which opens outside Redy and receives that address.
Where it is held
On our server, over HTTPS, at deplyra.com/redy-api. The server is in the European Union, in Austria, so European data protection law applies to it directly.
Nothing is encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed. Everything else, including your address, your phone number and the photographs, is stored plainly, and the photographs are ordinary image files on the server's disk.
Redy shows no advertising and carries no advertising SDK.
How long we keep it
Indefinitely. Redy has no retention schedule and no job that removes anything on a timer. A booking, a photograph and an estimate stay until a person removes them by hand.
Deleting your account, stated exactly
This is the part of Redy we are least happy with, and we are going to describe it as it is rather than as it is meant to be.
The app has a delete-account control. Using it marks your account as deletion-pending and signs you out of every device. The app, the API and our own legal screen all tell you the data is removed after 30 days. That is not true. No job exists that acts on that mark, so nothing is deleted, then or later.
The app also tells you that signing in again will stop the deletion. That is not true either, and it is worse than the first one: once the mark is set, sign-in is refused and nothing clears it, so you are locked out of the account permanently while your data stays.
Providers have no delete route at all in the provider screens.
Until this is fixed, do not use the in-app delete control. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and a person will remove your data by hand and confirm it. We are fixing the app and this page will change when the code does.
Children
Redy is for adults booking or carrying out paid work. It is not directed at children and it has no age check.
