The service

Rooftree keeps a shared, append-only record of a tenancy and can build a PDF from it. It is a record, not a legal instrument. It is not legal advice, it does not decide who is right in a dispute, and it does not guarantee that any deposit scheme, tribunal or court will accept what it produces.

The record is tamper-evident, not tamper-proof: entries cannot be edited or removed through the app, and that is a property of how it is built, not a guarantee about the world.

Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account and for what you enter about the other party. Once an entry is written it cannot be edited or deleted by you, by the other party, or by us. Write accordingly.

Purchases and subscriptions

Rooftree has no working billing. A Premium tier appears in the interface and cannot currently be bought, so no charge can arise. Rooftree is free to use and carries advertising.

Money

Rooftree records payments; it does not take them. No payment is processed, no card or bank details are collected, and marking a payment as received is a statement by a user rather than a transaction we observed.

Acceptable use

Use Rooftree only for its intended purpose and only with information you have the right to enter. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to store or produce anything illegal, infringing or abusive.

Disclaimer

Rooftree is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not offer a service-level guarantee. To the extent permitted by law, Deplyra disclaims warranties of any kind and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Nothing here removes rights that cannot be removed by agreement.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the app from time to time, and a material change will appear here with a new effective date. You may stop using it at any time.
