Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Scanly ("the app"), operated by Deplyra ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Accounts

You need an account (email, Google or Apple sign-in) to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

The service

Scanly scans documents and extracts, translates and explains their text. Text recognition, translation and Explain run on our servers using third-party AI (see the Privacy Policy). Results are provided on an "as is" basis and can contain errors — do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial or other consequential decisions without checking the source document.

Free and Pro plans

The Free plan includes document scanning, copying text and PDF export, with limits (for example on pages per document and documents per day) shown in the app. Pro unlocks Word and Excel export, translation, handwriting and table recognition, ID-card mode, batch scanning, unlimited scanning, unlimited Explain and an ad-free experience. Plan features and limits may change as the app evolves.

Subscriptions, trial & billing

Pro is a subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. A 7-day free trial may be offered; unless you cancel before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the then-current price. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You manage, cancel or request refunds through your App Store or Google Play account, subject to their policies — we do not process payments directly.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to process content you have no right to, to break the law, to reverse-engineer or overload the service, or to attempt to bypass plan limits or security. You retain ownership of your documents; you grant us only the limited permission needed to process and (on Pro) store them to provide the service.

Availability

We aim to keep the app available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimer & liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided without warranties, and Deplyra is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made in reliance on OCR, translation or Explain output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate access for breach of these terms. Deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
